I love listening to uninterrupted albums and writing my thoughts on them — for funsies.
- Of Monsters & Men — My Head Is an Animal
great album, but i think its mostly a nostalgic aspect for me. transports me in a snap to the summer of dec 2012—march 2013. but also to 2014 cause a few songs were featured in “the secret life of walter mitty”, one of my fav movies tho now a bit childish for my taste HAHA something about that boss character is too “plastic” for me. but anyways. great album but gotta let it marinate in between listens to keep it from losing its teleportation superpowers.
- Still Woozy — If This Isn’t Nice, I Don’t Know What Is
i love all things Still Woozy and this album is no exception. everything he does delights me and leaves me wanting for more <3
- Aaron Frazer — Introducing…
great background songs album. chill in the sunset etc. that’s how i remember it. the cover gives me Ted Lasso but make it country (?) vibes. lol.
- Pangeaux — Secret Origins of Yesterday
cool album though the entire album isn’t as cool as the last song, in my opinion.
- Soko — Feel Feelings
amazing, 20/10, listened to it sober and i think i’d enjoy stoned even more but great album regardless.
- Chezile — 47 EP
damn, top notch discovery. stumbled upon a song from this guy on an IG post and immediately went looking for more. and thank god there was. his music transports me right back to a feeling i don’t think i’d had when listening to new music since i listened to Talk by Henry Hall back in 2014, through a Casey Neistat video. and for reference, i loved that song so much that i downloaded it from SoundCloud, turned it into an iTunes song, but only allowed myself to listen to it a couple times a year. maybe 2 or 3. the feeling it gave me was just so pure i wanted to preserve it like a time capsule. and i did. anyways, Chezile’s music transports me to not the same but to a similar feeling, maybe sans time capsule aspect hahaha.
- Phoenix — United
very cool album. loved it. ik it’s not new but only knew one song from the whole album before.
- BROCKHAMPTON — SATURATION III
SO GOOD!! moved my hips and feet the whole time. felt like a bad ass bitch at times, and a soft feather at others. it was a very nice, complex but well balanced journey. was surprised with the spanish interludes in a good way. added “HOTTIE” to my favorites ❤️🔥.
- slowthai — TYRON
found it a bit too rough for me at the beginning but i be sensible. loved MAZZA though 😮💨, and PLAY WITH FIRE!!. “push” fue como un abrazo. ohhh “feel away” 😭🫂!. great album but didn’t add it to my library
- Little Simz — GREY Area
listening to this album reminded me i was actually fixated on “Gorilla” by Little Simz a while back. i even used it on my “2023 Wrapped” IG Reel at the end of that year. i loooooved the asian feeling samples from 101 FM. added “Selfish” to my favorites too.
- Terrace Martin & Gallant — Sneek
wow. great album. loved the little jazzy bits and how modern it feels at the same time. great for sketching, doing something chill, appreciating the view. wish i could hear it again for the first time.
- Bruno Pernadas — Those Who Throw Objects at the Crocodiles Will Be Asked to Retrieve Them
shit, fucking, wow. god. this album jumped straight into my top #3 albums of 2025. so fucking good. i need to hear it live like, yesterday. spaceway 70 blew my mind and spirit, but almost every new song was a banger in different levels. the solo from “galaxy” was so hypnotizing :’). loved the singing and melody of “Ya Ya Breathe”
- Blood Organge — Essex Honey
“vivid light” hits like a cold glass of water at 3am. so good.
